Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UPSC AI Notes (“we”, “us”, “our”), which operates the website upscainotes.in (the “Site”), collects, uses, shares and protects your information when you use the Site and purchase our digital study tools (the “Products”). We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Who we are

UPSC AI Notes is a digital storefront offering interactive, exam-mapped study tools for civil-services and competitive-exam aspirants. You can reach us any time at upscainotes.in@gmail.com. Full operator details are on our Contact page.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Information from your purchase

Information stored on your own device (browser local storage) — your theme choice, proof-of-purchase access tokens, the email used to restore purchases, and your daily-question streak and practice stats. This stays on your device unless you choose to sync it (below).

Optional progress sync — if you verify your number, your streak and quiz stats may be stored on our servers, keyed to your mobile number, so they follow you across devices.

Technical data — like all websites, our infrastructure provider processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the Site.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Legal bases

We process your data to perform our contract with you (delivering and supporting your purchase), with your consent (e.g., updates), to comply with law, and for our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site.

5. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use your browser’s local storage for the features described above. Please see our Cookie Policy for details. Razorpay may set its own cookies during checkout under its policy.

6. Who we share data with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Site, and only as needed:

We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the Site.

7. Data security

We use HTTPS, signed access tokens, and reputable infrastructure to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to keep your information safe.

8. Data retention

We keep purchase and contact records for as long as needed to provide access recovery and to meet tax and legal requirements, after which we delete or anonymise them.

9. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent for updates, or raise a concern, by emailing upscainotes.in@gmail.com. Clearing your browser storage removes local data from your device (note this may sign you out of purchased tools until you restore by email).

10. Children

The Site is intended for users aged 18 and above who are preparing for competitive examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and rules) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, any grievance regarding your personal data may be sent to our Grievance Officer at upscainotes.in@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within the timelines prescribed by law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date will change accordingly. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated policy.

13. Contact

For any privacy request, email upscainotes.in@gmail.com or use our Contact page.
