About

Built by an aspirant, for aspirants.

UPSC AI Notes is built and run by a small team preparing for the same exam. We started making these tools because what we could find was either static PDFs that went stale within a year, or apps that asked for a subscription before showing us anything useful.

We are not a coaching institute and we are not going to pretend otherwise. There is no faculty panel, no toppers' endorsement and no claim that this will clear the exam for you. What there is: nine tools, eight of them free, built by people who needed them.

Why this exists

Most UPSC material is written to be sold, not to be used. A 900-page compilation is impressive on a shelf and almost useless in the last month before Prelims, when what you need is a way to test whether a fact has actually stuck. We built the tools we wanted: fast, searchable, and honest about what they contain.

Eight tools are free and need no account, because a student deciding whether to trust a site should not have to pay to find out. The paid tools exist so this can keep being maintained; they are one-time purchases with lifetime access, not subscriptions.

How the content is made

Questions are written from evergreen, publicly known facts and the UPSC Prelims pattern. We do not reproduce questions or explanations from any coaching institute's material. Previous-year questions are UPSC's own, used for practice with our explanations attached.

The standard sources behind the material are the ones most aspirants already use: NCERTs for the foundation, Laxmikanth for Polity, standard geography and economy texts, the India Year Book and government portals for schemes, and the Supreme Court's own reporting for judgements. Where a fact is contested or a figure has been revised, we say so rather than picking whichever version is tidier.

What we do not do

Corrections

UPSC material dates quickly and we get things wrong. If you find an error in a question, an explanation or a scheme detail, write to upscainotes.in@gmail.com and we will fix it and say so. Corrections from aspirants have improved this material more than any review process we could run ourselves.
