Questions aspirants ask

How long is the UPSC mock test?

The standard paper is 25 questions in 30 minutes, which matches the roughly 72 seconds per question that UPSC Prelims allows across 100 questions in two hours. You can also run shorter or longer papers.

Does the mock test apply negative marking?

Yes. Marking follows the UPSC Prelims scheme, so a wrong answer costs one-third of the marks for that question. Your net score is what appears at the end, not the raw count of correct answers.

Can I take a mock test on one subject only?

Yes. You can focus a paper on Polity, History, Geography, Economy, Environment, Science and Technology, International Relations, Ethics or Society, provided that subject has enough questions to fill a paper.

Where do the mock test questions come from?

The pool combines original questions written from evergreen, publicly known facts with previous-year UPSC Prelims questions. Explanations accompany every answer.
